Policies

If you find any of the rules and guidelines too complicated to understand, or you feel you can not abide by them, then please follow these simple steps:

Log onto your World of Warcraft account.
Click on yourself (this will target your character).
Type "/gquit" into any chat window.
Press Enter.

Communications

Guild Chat: Chat is to be kept responsible. That means no excessive cursing, religious or racial comments, or sexual innuendoes. General Chatter happens and if all are involved at that moment then it is probably acceptable. However, if you find that the banter is mostly between you and one other person, then take it to tells. Guild Chat is NOT an auction channel. We don't do price quotes. We don't sell your items. We don't buy your items. We don't find your items.  Exception: If you are looking for a particular item and can't find it, you may ask politely in guild chat about the item or assistance in acquiring the item. Keep in mind we do not tolerate begging.  Repeating similar requests for information and/or items will be considered begging.

Begging
: Asking ANY player for items, money or assistance (other than game-related assistance) is absolutely prohibited.
Game related assistance may include rezzes, buffs, etc - but if that person says no, then you have your answer. Pestering a person will be considered begging - this applies both to guild mates, as well as other players.

Public Chat Areas: Please restrict your use of /general and /shout communications to a minimum.

Conduct

Blizzard: Members shall ALWAYS abide by the rules as set forth by Blizzard regarding WoW as a whole,
( http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/policy ) including conduct and language. This shall include being respectful to GM's and other representatives as occasion arises.

Representation
: Everyone in the guild is representing the guild. Remember that your actions, both honorable and dishonorable, reflect upon the guild as a whole.  This guild is built upon integrity, and we wish for that to be evident in our conduct at all times.

Begging: You shall never beg for items, money or power leveling from ANY Player in any fashion, either via TELL or GUILD CHAT. If a higher-level guild member wishes to assist you, they will make that fact known. Occasionally higher level members or officers will announce to the guild chat channel that they are available to assist where needed, you may respond to these announcements if you can use the assistance. Also See "Begging" under Communications.

Respect: All players are here to have fun and enjoy their experience playing WoW. Respect others, just as you would like them to respect you. Special respect should be paid to all guild mates and members of allied guilds. Your guild Officers are due the utmost respect - they are taking time from their own Personal Time and in-game play time to run this guild for the benefit of all. If an officer asks you something, answer it to the best of your ability, as soon as possible. If you are involved in a fight, reply that you are in a fight, and as soon as that fight ends, take a break and make your answer. Failure to reply to a request from an officer may result in disciplinary action, up to removal from guild.

Buying/Selling/Trading: Be honest and fair when buying, selling, and trading. By all means attempt to get the best deal possible, but shady tactics are not acceptable. Price gouging, misleading players or misrepresenting your items is a major violation.

Rendering Emergency Assistance: Assisting your Guild Mates is important! These ARE the folks that may be pulling YOUR corpse out of a sticky situation at a later time. If you are of sufficient level to assist, make yourself available to do so when assistance is called for. Dying is frustrating, but getting a rez or rescue from the guild is not a given. You should offer assistance if available, but you should also be able to say NO at times when you are involved in something important without feeling guilt. If you die in a difficult place, or have multiple deaths while trying to get out of the area where you have fallen, this may constitute an emergency. If in doubt, talk to an officer in tells - if it's justified, the officer will do an all-hands call to respond to the situation.

Power-leveling: We are not here to power-level you or your alts. From time to time, a higher member may offer to power-level or otherwise assist a lower level member. In this event, the higher member takes responsibility for the others safety. In a situation of this sort, the higher member is in charge - the lower member will do exactly as the higher member directs. The higher level also must act responsibly and act according to the knowledge and ability of the lower level character.

Raids/Quests/Groups

Loot: Always ask and have loot orders defined prior to starting the quest or raid. If the loot is open or free or casual, strive to be fair with everyone in the group or raid. Do not loot BOP items of no use to your class and do not loot every corpse. Be fair, do not be greedy. Our guild follows a strict NBG (Need Before Greed) policy. This means that if you are assisting a someone on a quest specific to his class and his item drops, HE NEEDS IT and gets it. If other items drop that are not related to his quest, you are welcome to share them with your group. In a non-quest or item specific raid or group if an Item can be used by a character that is present and is an upgrade for them and no one else present can equip that item then the one in need gets it. Beyond that, typically items that are considered desirable will be rolled on by those present that can USE the item. Finally any other items can be rolled on by all. Items considered 'vendor fodder' should be looted by a Main Looter (ML) and sold off as part of the Split to the group, or in a raid situation the funds may go to guild bank or used to cover components for Casters. In some cases once you have rolled on and won a desirable Item then you cannot roll for additional desirable items until each member present has won or passed on the opportunity to loot. Greed is not a welcomed trait in a PoH Member. If you don't know what NBG is or lack the common sense to be able to follow this rule, see the guild removal instructions near the top of this document.

Raids: Will be Updated Soon

Quests: There are many quests in the game - some of them are simple, some are massively complex. If you wish assistance with a quest, ask if anyone is interested in helping - by preference in a post on the quest forum. Generally, most quests have parts which are turn-ins, runarounds, etc. Generally these should be done by the quester, without taking the time of others in the guild to watch them do it... If there is a portion of the quest which requires a force to kill a mob for a dropped item, when all is ready for that, then you call for help... as in raids, those interested can post in the thread, and the quester can plan a time to go after that portion of the quest. Do not expect others in the guild to do your quest for you! It's your quest, we're there to help when you need, not to hold your hand through the whole thing. As with raids, the responsibility for researching is upon the quester. Some quests will require raids, and so fall under raid rules.

Groups: Most of our playtime is involved with groups - some all guild, some with people who are not members. If you are the group leader, it is YOUR responsibility to make sure that all members of your group get a fair chance at whatever loot drops. Make sure the loot rules are clear to all, and acceptable to all before the first pull. Rotating or alpha loot is generally the most fair method, ensuring that everyone gets a chance at both money and items. Just make sure all are in agreement BEFORE you start! If you have people that join later, stop pulls, and go over loot rules again. If you are NOT the group leader, when you join, ask about the loot rules. If you do not agree with them, and the group is not willing to change to something you would find more agreeable, then take your leave, and find another group. Your grouping experience will be far better in a group that you are in agreement with, and your time better spent. At all times, in all situations, it is of utmost importance to remember that you are representing our entire guild. The more competent you are in groups, the better our reputation becomes.

Leaders:

Raid/Event Leader is in charge of the Raid/Event. This person outranks everyone present including guild officers and guild leaders. What the Raid/Event leader says is LAW for the duration of that Raid/Event, unless it goes directly against a posted rule or regulation, at which time an officer may step in. However, if alternative rules were established before the raid began then those rules will apply..
Group Leaders are in charge of your group. Regardless of who is in the group, that group leader has sole control over all actions of his group. While you are in a group you will always follow the orders of your group leader even if they seem to contradict those of the Raid/event leader as the Group leader may have information that you do not. Typically your group leader will be the primary healer or player with most raid savvy.
Cleric/Healer  This better be your next in charge even if unofficially. When this person is OOM or LOM, you're all DEAD if you aren't listening carefully to the healer. Don't let battle fury drive you beyond common sense. It may be frustrating to wait on Healers to regain mana after a particularly rough battle, but it will be even more frustrating if you have to recover from a complete Wipe Out because Healers could not heal.
Main Assist (or Main Tank) The Main Assist is usually the group/event tank. Every eye should focus on and ensure the safety of and /assist the Main Assist. (this should be a macro on your hotkey list) This person is the key to your group's success.
Roles: Other group/event roles are main healer, buffer, secondary assist and so on. Be sure you are clear on your role, it will save a lot of confusion later.
Be Sure to read and be familiar with Raid Rules posted elsewhere on this site.

Disputes

Guild Issues: Using public guild chat (or /shout, /trade, etc) to air disputes is frowned upon and will not be taken lightly. - This includes the guild website. This is one offense that can have you removed from guild on the actions of a single officer present.

Public Issues: Disputes between a member and nonmember should be handled in /tell. As a member you may only be one person, but you represent the guild in its entirety through your actions in front of others. Be sure to get guild officers involved to help if needed.  Be sure to follow the officers recommendations even if you may not agree, he has the GUILDS best interest in mind, not YOUR Personal ones.

Problem With: Any Player, First Try: That player  Escalate to: Pantheon of Heroes Sergeant-At-Arms
Problem With: Guild Member, First Try:  That player  Escalate to: Pantheon of Heroes Sergeant-At-Arms
Problem With: Guild Officer First Try: That Player  Escalate to: Pantheon of Heroes Leader
Problem With: GM First Try: Escalate to: http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowgm/?id=egm01726p2
Should the Sergeant-At-Arms or assistant not be immediately available, you can bring the issue to any officer, who will relay it to the Sergeant-At-Arms. If the officer judges that immediate action need be taken, the that officer will resolve the dispute, pending investigation and appeal. Remember, we will have the GUILDS best interest in Mind, not YOUR Personal interests or goals.

Disciplinary Action

Any guild member who is found to violate any guild rule(s) in any order will notice the following actions being taken by officers of the guild. Offenses do not need to be violations of the same rule. You may be overly sexist or vulgar to gain a warning one-day and then you might falsely trade items to a player the next day to earn a public warning.

First Offense:

Private Warning from any officer - Officer will post these on guild web site, in Officer's mess.

Second Offense (you are now on probation):

Private/Public Warning from any officer - Officer will post these on guild web site and the officers will discuss your merits and your transgression. Should you be deemed worthy, you will be allowed to remain a member of the Pantheon. Should you fail to demonstrate your ability to abide by the guild rules by a quorum of the council, you will be removed from the guild.

Third Offense or any Blatant/Major Offenses (you are now on the street):

Removal from the Guild - Three officers must concur to remove a member immediately. (A single officer may act if others are not available, or the offense is a public one that is affecting the guild) A member removed in this fashion has no right to be re-instated at any time by anyone other than a guild leader backed by a majority of Quorum of Officers. The member will be informed of a vote action and it's results at such time as the results are available and the member is allowed to return to the guild or remains removed.

Any type of Offense by any member on Probation:

Immediate and Irrevocable Expulsion from the Pantheon with no right to appeal.
